there is something so much bigger than me that has taken up residence inside my ribcage. he tried to introduce himself as God, but i don't believe him. it's physical, not metaphysical, purely tangible. except i can't quite isolate the feeling. i know he's there, but i can't pinpoint him. i can't point to my third rib and say, "That's him, right there." i can only gesture to my body cavity.
he feels like a song, welling up inside of me with such passion and drive that finding the crest of the wave is much like a sigh of relief.
i've become quite attached to the feeling, but he tells me he's going to leave soon. i am heartbroken. it will be like losing a piece of my soul. he says it's nonsense, he's more of a parasite anyway, but i know he's a little sad too.
